Dr. James Boehrer
, Interventional Cardiologist
Dallas, TX
- Unregistered Interventional Cardiologist
"Dr. Boehrer is a seasoned interventional cardiologist and was recommended by my wife who works in a heart hospital. He was following me for 2 years due to mitral regurgitation until in 2020 when it was severe. He recommended to have it repaired by Dr. Robert Smith of Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano.
Although my wife has medical background, Dr. Boehrer explained to me in detail my diagnosis, condition, risks, etc, and the need to have my valve fixed even thought I was asymptomatic. He made sure that I fully understood my condition. He always takes time with his patients, I never feel rushed, and he has a superb excellent bedside manner.
My wife told me that she has never seen Dr. Boehrer's patients experience any complications from Left Heart Catheterization (and she worked with tons of interventional cardiologists).
I was 47 years old at that time and I did not experience any symptoms at all. Prior to my 51st birthday, Dr. Robert Smith repaired my Mitral valve. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days and went home. My only complications after surgery was Afib that lasted for 2 hours and was resolved right away.
It's been 5 years now, I am doing my yearly echo with Dr. Boehrer. I feel better and no more heart murmur. I am careful with what I eat, I make sure I stay active, and commit myself in the service to the Lord. I highly recommend my IC Dr. Boehrer and my Thoracic Surgeon Robert Smith."
