"Dr. Hallman operated on my 85-year old father. HE IS GREAT! Personable, down to earth, will sit down and have a conversation with you. Plus, he is a great surgeon (2nd generation cardio-thoracic surgeon at Texas Heart). Texas Heart Institute is the best, though. There were some complications, but not due to anything that Dr. Hallman did. In fact, when Dad kept complaining after the surgery he could not breathe, Dr. Hallman intervened and ordered additional tests (when all the other docs were saying he was okay). Dad had a pericardial effusion, pulmonary effusion and 2 small blood clots in his lungs. Dr. Hallman dealt with each quickly. Dad is doing great today. His heart beat is back into sinus rhythm and the porcine valve is working great!"
