"Dr. Hahn thoroughly reviewed my complicated health history and conferred with my hematologist before talking to me. My initial visit with him took an hour. He explained things thoroughly and didn't rush me. He went over the pros and cons of open-heart surgery and TAVR and why he was recommending TAVR for me. He works closely with a team of doctors who discuss every case to ensure the best possible care. His demeanor was calm and respectful. He was one of the first surgeons in Virginia to offer TAVR's, so is very experienced in both TAVR and open-heart. I spent one night in ICU and went home the next day. I was tired for several days, but no pain. Never ever needed a Tylenol. Everyone was shocked to see me at church, looking completely fine just 9 days after being in the ICU! I know teaching hospitals can be a good choice for some people, but I liked having a specific doctor who would remember me and my weird medical history. He works with a small team of other doctors, so I saw different ones different times, but they communicated well overall--not perfectly, but I'd say 98%-- and I felt I received good, organized care.) They do 2-3 TAVR's 2 mornings a week. Also, the nurses, techs, receptionists and even the housekeepers at Henrico Doctors Hospital were all so courteous, kind and professional. I felt I received excellent care."

"Dr. Hahn is calm, conservative, covers all bases, answers all questions, competent individual. He makes himself available whenever you need him. Dr. Hahn put in my first aortic valve as well as replacing my ascending aorta with Dacron during this surgery. We are very happy with Dr. Hahn and so far happy with this surgery's result."
