Dr. Daniel Watson
, Heart Surgeon
Columbus, OH
- Unregistered Surgeon
Patient Recommendations (3)
"Very experienced, very knowledgeable. Returned to hospital days after discharge with pericardial fluid build-up so I'd recommend (1) staying in the hospital as long as possible; (2) making sure you can breathe well, and (3) insisting on an echo before you leave."

"I was in the hospital for 29 days with rehab there and am doing great. I see my cardiologist Dr Jud Milhon once a year for my checkup. He is who referred me to Watson. Both doctors saved my life"

"Dr. Watson was a fantastic surgeon. I had been diagnosed with torn muscle chords of the mitral valve. Although we were able to isolate when the tear probably happened, I was experiencing NO major symptoms and the torn muscle chords were only discovered by my family physician when I went in with what turned out to be a mild case of bronchitis. Through a battery of tests, we were able to determine that I had a very leaky mitral valve that needed repair or replacement very quickly, but since a heart cath showed absolutely NO blockages of any kind in the coronary artieries, the surgeon did not have to break my breast bone to perform the surgery -- he merely spread the ribs under my right breast to do the surgery. I was out of the hospital in 4 days and back to work in 9 weeks. Dr. Watson was great -- he took time to explain everything, offered me options on how to proceed, and gave me enough information to make an informed decision on what to do. He works out of Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where I received the best care."
