"Dr. Kerendi came highly recommended by my cardiologist, Suzanne Wetherold. He specializes in minimally-invasive mitral valve repair and replacement. My incision is just under the right breast and is almost invisible, less than a year after the surgery.

He was able to repair my mitral valve. My follow-up echocardiogram 3 months post surgery showed no regurgitation and I was told to return in a year - this after 5 years of echocardiograms twice a year. I had an episode of AFib on day 4 in the hospital so stayed an extra day. I was put on meds that I tapered off of and have not had another episode.

Dr. Kerendi comes across very professionally and I have no complaints about his bedside manner. I would highly recommend using Dr. Kerendi!"

"Dr. Kerendi replaced my mitral valve, repaired my tricuspid valve and placed a clip on my atrial appendage, via sternotomy. He is a skilled surgeon who is very approachable. After my initial appointment, I thought of many, many other questions to ask - especially regarding information posted on this site -- and he always responded to my patient portal queries promptly, even several months after my surgery.

Dr. Kerendi belongs to a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons group; however, he also serves as a member of the Heart Valve Clinic at the Heart Hospital of Austin, where he collaborates with cardiologists in the assessment of heart valve disease.

Aside from being an excellent surgeon, he also has a good bedside manner, and his team (PAs, office staff, etc.) is wonderful. Everyone was caring and attentive. I highly recommend Dr. Kerendi!"

"I was referred to Dr. Kerendi when the surgeon who did my first valve surgery retired. Dr. Kerendi monitored an aortic aneurysm annually until I needed a second valve surgery, then addressed the aneurysm along with the valves that needed attention.

He re-replaced my aortic valve, repaired my mitral valve, replaced a section of my aorta, & reworked the aortic coarctation conduit from my first surgery. My surgery was considered "complex". I just cannot recommend him highly enough. Dr. Kerendi is highly skilled & has a kind demeanor. The best of the best. "
