"Dr. Felipe Rendon-Elias is an excellent young heart surgeon who has a very professional team (Dr. Humberto Garcia-Lara as cardiologist). Dr. Felipe Rendon-Elias is a professor of heart surgery at the University Hospital of the Faculty of Medicine at The Autonomous Nuevo Leon State University (UANL) in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He gave me an excellent personal treatment giving me direct arguments to choose the option of a last generation Nova biological valve instead of a mechanical one. After surgery Dr. Felipe Rendon-Elias visited me frequently to support me and to give me the required information for a good recovery. My surgery was 24/October/2007, at age of 61, and thanks Dr. Felipe Rendon-Elias, his team and Dr. Humberto Garcia-Lara, and in a very particular way thanks to Adam Pick's book, I was encouraged to take the decision to go for my aortic valve replacement, so, actually I have a normal life, I am teaching and researching as plant breeder in the Faculty of Agronomy at UANL and enjoying life and my family.
