"From the first meeting to the day he released me, I was comfortable and as relaxed as is possible under the circumstances. Not once was he mean or short. Upon every meeting whether in an exam room or in the hospital room he offered his hand to me and held it while he was speaking to me. He smiled readily, and never talked down to me. All of my questions were answered. I cannot say enough good and positive comments about him. I absolutely loved him and how he made a very frightening experience seem so much less so. My incision was on my right side from my underarm down the curve of my breast.
I had minimally invasive surgery to replace my aortic valve and repair my mitral valve, and no rib was broken. He used the heart/lung machine for this surgery. The position I was secured in for the surgery left me with aches in my shoulders, shoulder blades, and lower back for which they gave me Extra Strength Tylenol requested by me. They offered me 3 different drugs for pain, but I refused them because I had no pain anywhere, just aches.
Now working in my 5th month my body has woken up and my aches are gone. I am now back to walking 2 miles a day, and working to get to 3 miles. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Comas to anyone having heart valve surgery."
