"In April 2011, I had aortic valve replacement and bypass surgery by Dr. James Livesay. I was able to have a great recovery. In September of 2011, they found an aneurysm in my heart and Dr. Livesay removed and repaired that and I recovered from that surgery. Dr. Livesay is a wonderful man and an incredible doctor! My whole experience at St. Luke's Heart Institute with Dr. Livesay and the complete nursing staff was so professional and caring in every area! I am so grateful for everything they did to save my life!!!"

"On 02/17/2011, I had heart surgery at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston TX to replace my aortic valve. Dr. James J. Livesay of the Texas Heart Institute performed the surgery and I chose the ATS 3F equine valve. Dr. Livesay was very informative in his pre-op consultation regarding this new and promising heart valve. His bedside manner was sincere and his post-op follow-up was much more than I expected. My experience with Dr. Livesay was excellent and I would highly recommend him. "
