"The ascending aorta was at 6.5 cm. He removed the aorta and provided a Dacron graft and a clip on the left atrial appendage (LAA). The valve is an Edwards Inspiris Resilia (bovine).
Dr. Stoneburner was very helpful in explaining the nature of the condition, and the need to do surgery ASAP. The surgery was an 8-hour procedure. Dr Stoneburner saved my life."

"I don't think I could trust another surgeon. He tells you exactly what he is going to do, and will sit and talk to you. He was not in a hurry at all. I never had pain medications once I left hospital, no pain ever. About a five inch incision and after 9 weeks it's hard to see! "
