"Dr. Pavlina was so kind and very upbeat. He is very down to earth. He is a brilliant surgeon and comes highly recommended. I happen to know three nurses who worked with him at different times over a 20+ year time frame and they all were thrilled that I chose him because, in their words, "He's the best." The cardiac nurse who discussed the surgery with us about a week prior told us we won the lottery because Dr. Pavlina "brilliant." I'd have to agree with them all. I did have complications but they were not from anything he did, in fact, I feel like he saved my life. Because of my complications, I spent 24 days in the hospital over a 2-1/2 month time frame. Each and every time I was admitted, even though, as the surgeon, he had released me after about 1-1/2 months, he still came to see me every day and the insurance was not charged each time like is typical. His upbeat personality and sense of humor definitely helped in my recovery. During the times I was scared, he took time to listen to me and reassured me everything would be ok - and it was! I'd recommend him to anyone. In my opinion, he's the best."
