"AMAZING!!! He is so down to earth, yet confident. He answered all my questions before I had them, called me directly at home in response to an email and advocated for me several times. He also performed a minimal incision technique. You can hardly see my scar at all. He worked for over 8 hours to make sure I got a proper repair rather than a replacement. "Dr. Kohmoto is one of my favorite people in the whole world. After a strange experience in which my cardiologist cancelled my surgery 2 days before it was to occur, Dr. Kohmoto stepped in, called me and other doctors throughout the weekend and had my surgery reinstated.
Not only did he understand every concern I had, he answered my questions almost before I even asked them. He replied to emails swiftly, called me himself multiple times, and spent almost 2 hours at our pre-op.
Dr. Kohmoto is an outstanding surgeon. His first attempt at my mitral repair leaked with testing. Instead of deciding to just go with a replacement, he on spent a total of hours on my operation to ensure that I got a successful repair. I am so thankful to have had him in my life when I needed it the most.
Bonus: my incision is small and healed amazingly. He is skilled, caring, humble, and brilliant."
