Heart Valve Mission: Berthony Gets A "Second Chance" At Life in the Dominican Republic

See the extraordinary patient story of Berthony, a patient with three defective heart valves from Haiti, that was treated during a heart valve medical mission organized by Dr. David Adams, The Mitral Foundation and Every Heartbeat Matters. Every Heartbeat Matters is a wonderful effort by the Edwards Lifesciences Foundation to raise awareness to heart valve disease among underserved patient populations. Dr. David Adams is the Surgeon-in-Chief at Mount Sinai Hospital and founder of the Mitral Foundation.
