Bicuspid Aortic Valve Conference Video Just Posted!

If you, or someone you know, have been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve (BAV), this post is for you. Let me explain…
I recently attended and spoke at the 2nd Annual Bicuspid Aortic Valve Conference in Chicago, Illinois. During this special conference — which was created for patients, their families and friends — several BAV specialists shared their latest research and clinical experiences specific to the management and treatment of bicuspid aortic valves. The conference was amazing. And, I was super excited to meet many patients from our website at the event.
While the complete, 2-hour conference video is provided below, here are some highlights about this special community event hosted by Northwestern Medicine and Lurie’s Children Hospital.
The Complete BAV Conference Video
Okay, now that you’ve watched the highlights… Here is the complete video playback of the Bicuspid Aortic Valve Conference. I strongly encourage all patients who have been diagnosed with a BAV to get comfortable and watch this entire video. There is tons of great information in the video including a special “Questions & Answers” session with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists and nurses that specialize in BAV treatment.
On behalf of our community, I would like to thank Northwestern Medicine and Lurie’s Children Hospital for hosting the BAV Conference. I would also like to acknowledge these organizations for their commitment to treating this valvular disorder — which impacts 2% of the population. That said, a special thanks goes out to Dr. James Thomas, Dr. Jyothy Puthumana, Dr. Chris Malaisrie, Dr. Paul Fedak, Dr. Luciana Young, Dr. Josh Robinson, Colleen Clennon, RN, and Elizabeth Capella, RN.
Keep on tickin!
