[Update: Please note that Dr. Allan Stewart is no longer performing surgery at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.]
On behalf of our patient community, I want to extend a mighty thanks to Dr. Allan Stewart at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute for becoming our newest sponsor!!!
As you may know, Dr. Stewart is a long-time supporter of the HeartValveSurgery.com community. In addition to performing successful surgery on over 300 patients from our community at Mount Sinai Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Stewart has helped me create many educational stories and videos. He’s also an endurance athlete that runs triathlons and marathons with his patients – like Gregg O’Keeffe.

Dr. Stewart Migrates South to Miami
Now, Dr. Stewart has migrated south to Miami from New York to become the new Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute in the Baptist Health South Florida Health System. “This opportunity was too great to pass on,” Dr. Stewart shared with me. “The facility is state-of-the-art. We have the latest diagnostic, imaging and surgical technology. Plus, the patient experience is fantastic. Each patient has a private room throughout their stay.”
Dr. Stewart is focused on building his cardiac team using a “super-specialist” approach to treat valvular disorders, aneurysms, coronary artery disease and more. At the same time, Dr. Stewart quickly ramped his surgical schedule. “I did 19 open heart surgery procedures last week. It’s wonderful.”

In addition, I’d also like to thank Dr. Stewart’s support team of Debbie, Linsday, Siadmy and Rachel. Thanks to their efforts, patients from our community – including Jeanne Henderson – have already had successful surgery in Miami with Dr. Stewart.
Keep on tickin!
