I am very excited to announce that Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute in Boise, Idaho just became the newest sponsor of HeartValveSurgery.com.
Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute delivers compassionate, high-quality cardiovascular care to heart valve patients. Led by Dr. Robert Saeid Farivar, Medical Director of the Saint Alphonsus Cardiothoracic Surgery Program, the heart valve experts at Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute have extensive experience performing surgical, minimally-invasive and non-invasive procedures including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
“The Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute is excited to join forces with HeartValveSurgery.com,” states Dr. Farivar. “Through education, I believe we will collectively help many patients get the best possible outcomes for their specific valvular defect.”
Advancing Minimally-Invasive Heart Valve Care
The Structural Heart Program at Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute is advancing the use and research of new technologies to treat heart valve disease with minimally-invasive therapies.
For example, Dr. Farivar was named the Site Principal Investigator of the SUMMIT clinical trial, which uses a novel transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) technique.
In addition, Dr. Joe Walsh and Dr. Jeffrey Heslop are interventional cardiologists who are participating in several clinical trials and research initiatives. These studies include the Progress Trial, Complete Trial, Option Trial and assisting with the Summit Trial.
Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute Launches Heart Valve Microsite at HeartValveSurgery.com
To help educate patients at HeartValveSurgery.com about Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute and its approach to all forms of surgical and interventional valve therapies, we just launched a new Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute microsite at this link.

On behalf of our patient and caregiver community, many thanks to Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute for supporting this website, our community and our educational initiatives!
