Cleveland Clinic Health Chat With Dr. Gillinov

This one hour event, appropriately titled “Valve Disease”, is scheduled for Monday, March 14th from 12pm (EST) to 1pm (EST). Here are the details:

Heart valve disease occurs when one or more of the heart valves do not work correctly because of valvular stenosis or valvular insufficiency. These conditions cause the heart to pump harder to circulate the right amount of blood through the body. Left untreated, heart valve disease can reduce a person’s quality of life and become life-threatening. In many cases, valves can be surgically repaired or replaced, restoring normal function and allowing the person to return to normal activities. Take this opportunity to learn more about valve disease, including diagnosis and treatments, and have your questions answered by valve specialists: cardiologist Dr. Brian P. Griffin and cardiac surgeon Dr. A. Marc Gillinov from the Cleveland Clinic.

Keep on tickin!
