Thanks To ABC For “Hopkins” Mini-Series
By Adam Pick on August 13, 2008
Earlier this summer, we chatted about the debut of “Hopkins” on ABC and the sometimes, overly dramatic Grey’s Anatomy.
Well… Robyn (my wife) and I just watched the seventh-and-final episode of this very unique, very touching mini-series about the reality of working at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore Maryland.
I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed this show.
Yes, Robyn and I intently watched the complex and nerve-wracking heart surgery cases that were presented throughout the series. However, the other medical miracles documented throughout the show (especially the three-way liver transplant) were equally amazing. But, above all things, we appreciated the honesty of the patients, caregivers, doctors and nurses within the show – even when that honesty brought both of us to tears.
If you have the time, I would highly recommend watching Hopkins. I believe the series is now available for download at iTunes.com and DVD.
Keep on tickin!
