Bicuspid Aortic Valve: SAVR or TAVR?

In this video, Dr. Christopher Mehta addresses the causes, the symptoms and the different therapies for the treatment of bicuspid aortic valve disease and associated cardiac disorders including aortic aneurysms. Dr. Mehta also addresses the criteria he and the Northwestern Medicine team uses to evaluate therapies - surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) - for bicuspid aortic valve patients diagnosed with aortic stenosis and aortic regurgitation.
