Ginger's Guestbook

Ginger Marine  I am doing very well! I've been cooling my heels at my daughter's house these last 10 days, waiting for the dr's appointment that I hope will okay me driving (and thus going home) on Monday. My children are concerned that I will overdo when I go home so I am trying to temper my urge to get back in the garden with some planning and willingness to be sensible.

My family and neighbors have been wonderful! 3 neighbors have taken care of my chickens and cats and garden for this 4 weeks I have been gone. I have been so very lucky for the care I have received, and I hope to be cleared for cardiac rehab soon, too. It's an 80 mile round trip, but I know it will help me.

Naomi Ivker  That is great to hear! Gives me good hope that you are feeling so well. So lucky to have kind and generous friends and family. We also don't want for anything. Every evening meal for my family provided for. It's humbling. I'm doing ok. Not where I hoped to be but I'm not patient. Hardest part feeling like lungs still aren't doing their thing. Second hardest not sleeping which I thing would be solved if #1 would improve. Probably doing great by any account but my own! I hope you get good news from the Dr tomorrow and are cleared to drive!

Ginger Marine  I'm not sleeping well, either, but have not in a long time. I am sure being in my own bed will help some.

My breathing took a turn for the better about 22 days out. I still have a little trouble if I walk and talk for any distance (so I don't) but the dry cough is gone, and even though it is my secondary allergy season, my body seems to be healing.

My glue is coming off pretty suddenly (it seems) but it seems to be healing well underneath. Guess I will know more Monday.
