Jeannette McLaughlin Nice of you to say those words...thanks. My dad's name was John (he passed away in 2017, two months short of his 100th b-day!) So, here's to a long life and a short recovery!

Jeannette McLaughlin Thanks! Pam for your comment about my photo. They say that 70 is the new 60…and you and I are a living proof! I also have a perimount magna bovine aortic valve (gotta love those cows!) Due to a complication during surgery with my heart’s electrical system, I needed a pacemaker (this came as a total shock). When I had the pacemaker reprogrammed close to two months after surgery, I was told I had A-Fib (I never heard that while in the hospital nor before). I mentioned this to my surgeon during the video conference and he says that A-Fib is typical after heart surgery (it usually goes away while people are recovering at the hospital) and that I probably don’t have it anymore. He said to ask my GP for an EKG.
Wishing you continued success in your recovery, Pam. Let’s keep in touch (I’m one of your followers). Take care.

Help Jeanette. I came across your latest entry...so glad all went well for your surgery and you're recovering nicely. I am 10 months out from my aortic graft/ valve repair surgery. It's been a slow recovery...I think I'm more worried about something else happening and having to go through this again. At some point my valve will have to be replaced...just an unknown time when that may happen. I was quite interested in your supplement/ vitamins you mentioned. Would you mind sharing with me where you get your vitamins and list what you take? I'm always eager to learn more.
Thank you, and many blessings,, Shannon

Jeannette McLaughlin Hello! Shannon – Sorry for the long delay in replying but I just saw your note today (I keep forgetting to check my guestbook!) My recovery was speedy and at times it's like I never had surgery 'cause I can do whatever I did before, minus lifting heavy stuff. Being healthy overall before the surgery, eating super healthy food, taking natural supplements (the latter two for 40 years) and exercising (all my life) played a role, I'm sure, in my fast recovery. I joined a gym three and a half months after OHS and the progress I make is rewarding. I hope you will soon get over the fears and worries…and take more steps forward than backwards! I’ve always liked the saying, “Yesterday is history; tomorrow is a mystery; today is a gift…that’s why it’s called the present!” As for my supplements, I order them from various sources, mostly Life Extension Foundation, Dr. Mercola and Epigenetic Labs. If you send me your email address, I’ll give you more details. Stay positive!

Hi, Jeanette. How are you doing post surgery? I saw your note that I had missed...you told me that you and I have a lot in common in terms of our experiences. Are you feeling less anxious? you said "I'm curious to see if the panic attacks will go away after my surgery coming up next week." I hope that you will continue to progress after surgery.....I am so glad it's behind you now. Continue with meditation, and visualization....take one day at a time, and I hope you will have a speedy recovery. Keeping positive and stress free helped me recovery quite quickly. Although my job keeps me busy and stressful, it's a daily struggle. But migraines and anxiety are much more less frequent. Good luck! Keep well.....and thank you for your note. :o)

Jeannette McLaughlin Hello! Lilly – Sorry for the long delay in replying but I just saw your note today! I posted this in Shannon Gray’s guestbook a few minutes ago, “My recovery was speedy and at times it's like I never had surgery 'cause I can do whatever I did before, minus lifting heavy stuff. Being healthy overall before the surgery, eating super healthy food, taking natural supplements (the latter two for 40 years) and exercising (all my life) played a role, I'm sure, in my fast recovery.” As for panic attacks, I still get them but not as frequently. Glad to hear that migraines and anxiety are under control for you. I keep busy with this and that (I’m retired), joined a gym in mid-January and enjoy snowshoeing around the corner from my place. I’m presently listening to the World Angel Summit with Doreen Virtue and enjoy so much what the presenters are saying about the angels and how to communicate with them. I’ve also registered for the 9th Annual World Tapping Summit, which starts next week. I listened to the event last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. I did a lot of tapping while at the hospital! Take care…and keep in touch (I’ll check my guestbook more often!)

Ok I saw your post. I am so glad my friend that you are now home, and feeling a whole lot better. The Lord surely was with you all the way on this, I had prayed for you and continue to do so, but believe that you will heal completely, and knowing you, you will be in full swing mode very soon.
Love you my friend Trudy
