Hi again, John,

I didn't go through all that you're going through now, but I did have some very uncomfortable and anxious times the first four weeks. And my friend told me something constantly then: "Your body's been assaulted [by the surgery]. It's going to take a while for it to get on its feet again. Let it find its way--don't direct it."
Well my body DID get on its feet again--stronger than ever. Please don't ever think that the downs you're going through now are permanent conditions. They're highly likely NOT. Take each day at a time and let your body find its legs again, which it will do much more quickly if you don't bring fear into it (though it's understandable that we would). Best wishes as you go through this temporary "tunnel."
