Hi Linda Best wishes for your upcoming surgery. Although this is a really big deal, it has become almost routine with unbelievably high success rates. I had my aortic valve replaced about 1 1/2 years ago. Oh the first day in the ICU was pretty tough, but the recovery was steady and really quite a bit "better" than I had anticipated. I'm out doing all kinds of "normal" things every day, including going for a daily run (and have been for about a year now) and am very grateful for the surgery. Everything is so much improved - its really unbelievable. I have come to regard the surgery as a real gift. I placed myself in the hands of the surgeon and his team and they all came through in fine fashion. They were all really great in many ways. I am truly appreciative of everyone who made this possible. May everything go well for you.

Hi Linda, whatever valve you choose is the right one for you. You can get advice from everyone but it will be your choice because you will live with it. This is a great website to get opinions, advices and suggestions but at the end of the day I think the most important advice will be from YOU personally. Good luck with your valve decision.

My name is Terrie and I had the same condition as you have listed with my valve being replaced back on August of 2014.
