Hi Michele, Thanks for the note and I'm happy to tell you of my experience at the Cleveland Clinic. I was really happy with everyone there. Dr. Svensson was able to repair my aortic valve, he had told me there was a 70% chance of repair so that was my hope. I also had root repair. Everyone who hears your surgeon is Dr. Svensson says "he's the best" I was comfortable with him and had decided on tissue valve if a repair wasn't possible. Everyone else was great. Anesthesiologist was fine, I met with someone from the team at my pre-op appointment and then when I was waiting for surgery I saw them again. Nurses in ICU were great. (They had their hands full with me and my throwing up and period on top of everything else) I was in ICU one night and was moved to step-down room, I then was released 5 days after surgery. The first couple days were tough, but you feel better with every tube and wire being removed. Now at 8 weeks post op I'm feeling pretty good. I am FAR from petite so can't help you with those concerns :) Good luck to you.
