Hi Nancy! I can't believe we're both having surgery at "The Clinic" (as everyone seems to call it) the same day. Is your partner coming with you? We should somehow introduce our support people so that they can support each other somewhat since we're only allowed the one visitor. This is all very new to me. My local docs at a top center here felt I could be observed but I was nervous enough with the growth of my ascending aorta in the last 6 months that I sent my records to Cleveland. I just got the call last week that surgery is being recommended. I'm going to see Dr Svensson on 4/23 for a visit because I think it will calm me a bit but still... How are you holding up?? I see you're from Montana?? That's quite the trek to Cleveland.

Nancy Sells Yes, my husband is coming and he is very nervous around hospitals. I wonder if there is a typical waiting room somewhere they could connect. I think he will probably find a spot and distract himself with work. I thought about flying up for an in person visit...thought the same thing, I'd feel better if I could see a doc who is doing a MAJOR surgery on me in person! I did an online consult last October and I was hoping to wait a while longer but became symptomatic enough that it scared me to wait any longer. I'm doing ok, its up and down right now and planning has helped calm me down a bit actually. I think I'm most nervous about the flights home from Cleveland to Montana. Is all your pre-op May 10th? With all those appointments wouldn't be surprised if we see each other somewhere!

Mike Ridenour I was at the clinic July of 2020. Wife and myself stayed at Holiday Inn there on campus. The waiting areas are very roomy and the facility is huge with several restaurantsL etc....Oh! Lars Svennson did my work as well. You could not be in better hands. That surgeon and THAT clinic. top to bottom. That is a professionally run system!
