Jeannette McLaughlin  Hello! Pam - glad to hear you're doing well. On June 28 (nine months to the day since my heart surgery), I had surgery to remove a rare form of tumor on my left lung pleura. Luckily, it was benign. I'm now going through the recovery process, going for walks and taking it easy. Bye for now. Jeannette

Jeannette McLaughlin  Thanks, Pam, for your well wishes. The CT scan I had in the spring of 2016 in preparation for the heart surgery showed that the nodule detected in 2006 had increased in size. A biopsy followed a couple of months later and the result was benign, as mentioned earlier. However, since it had grown quite a bit, I was told it would have to be removed eventually. Months went by and the "eventually" became a reality sooner than I would have liked. On the other hand, it's all behind me now and I can enjoy my summer to the fullest! Thanks again. When is your birthday?!

pam williams  Hi Jeannette my birthday was may 31st when I reached the ripe old age of 73 but as you remarked recently 70s are the new 60s that made me feel good, my husband is going through a similar situation to you a shadow was detected on his lung 15 months ago he has ct scan every 6 months it hasn't changed in size so they will carry on monitoring as he also has emphysema so they think it might be scar tissue from that , I agree with you jeannette your op is over and done with you have had a rough ride, time to soak up the lovely sunshine and continue your journey to good health, best wishes pam x
