My name is Barbara Holliman I am from a little town called Camden,Arkansas I had Heart Valve surgery July 12, 2012 and I am a 56 year old young lady that is employed with the Arkansas Department of Correction I have been working there for 25 years. Russell, I also had a heart murmur for years and eventually suffered as you did. In January of 2013 I was told that I had severe aortic stenosis and required a replacement valve. They also, after doing an angiogram, noticed that I required a bypass also. In July of 2013 I had the surgery and was released from hospital after 3 days. I was given a valve from a calf. It took me about 4 months to get back to feeling really good although I was walking every day as soon as I got home. I now feel better than I have done in years. I'm sure everything will go well for you and will be thinking of you on 24th.
