Theresa that is wonderful! I'm glad you're feeling so well. I too am facing the same surgery as you. I just found out in May that my aortic stenosis has moved to severe. And my head has been spinning ever since! I was also born with a bicuspid valve. I'm 54. I'm hoping to have my surgery in September. I just want to be on the other side of it. Therese Rabbitt Thank you for the kind words. I don't know about you, but my severe OCD personality made me search the Internet for all the information I could find. Once I read it all, including European physician journal articles to see exactly what my valve measurements were, I felt a little more in control and less like Chicken Little. Now that you've said "I just want to be on the other side of it" you have regained control and can approach this as I did, a part recall for a broken heart part. That, and lots of prayer to God that all is in His hands. I found that to be truly calming. Best of luck to you. Soon you'll be on the other side. Just think of all the life events we still have to see at our age!
