I found out I had a heart issue 1 month ago from today so this site has been the greatest thing for giving me hope. Lots of stories, great people to talk to, and so much information on all that we are going through. Hope you find it as useful as I have as I deal with my journey.

Lisa Kane Thank you Phyllis, so true this whole thing is surreal. Your going along in life busy and flying and all of a sudden everything changes over night. I have symptoms that remind me daily of the need for this surgery but I still say is this really happening😳
I have a cat scan that I have to get done yet before I can schedule surgery so it’s looking right now like early May.

Phyllis Petersen It does feel a little like "hurry up and wait." I was told in January 2016 that I needed to have valve repair (right before knee replacement surgery), but all the tests, etc. seemed to be scheduled so slowly. I finally had surgery in October. In a way, I envy those who got through the system quickly. Less time to plan, but less time to worry.
