About Me (In My Own Words)
I got a new PCP and she mentioned that there is a calcium heart scan that can be done to assess for CAD. She noted that my cholesterol was slightly elevated and that at 44 I am at low risk so she didn't think it was necessary. I opted to have the test as my father had his first heart attack in his mid 40's and passed away a week shy of 62 from cardiac related issues. I had the calcium heart scan to check my arteries and as got the report with a surprise Aortic Aneurysm. I have since had allllll the tests which subsequently showed moderate aortic valve regurgitation. I am scheduled to have my ascending aorta, aortic arch, and aortic valve replaced.
