About Me (In My Own Words)
I have only had tests and I have my reports from the two Cat scans and the CTA. The surgeon wants to meet with me Wednesday to discuss the planning stage of surgery. I have a kink in my aorta from my scoliosis shifting my heart and other "mediastinal" organs. They tell me they've never seen this and it's a very complicated case. Scared and I don't know what to expect. Worried my surgeon is in over his head, but I honestly don't know. Met him once and liked him and he's a vascular surgeon but so many new things found that I do want a second opinion but will listen to his findings and plan first. I want to be smart about this. I just lost my two sisters in the past three years (one four months ago) and they were both 55 not leading healthy lifestyles. Apparently my arteries are clear, at least. Just keep obsessing and breaking out in rashes with very high blood pressure spikes. I'm not on any blood pressure medication but on lots of others for a whole slew of medical problems. Bone spurs, left and right from C2-T1 with arthritis and stenosis, and it just continues all the way to S1 with bulging disk, ruptured disk, etc. Very scared and want to talk to people who many know anything about this.
