Hello. I am Dr. Brian Dressler, an anesthesiologist in Florida. In late December of 2021, I had an acute rupture of the posterior leaflet of my MV leading to severe MR with posterior leaflet flail and CHF. It was very sudden onset, as I had been asymptomatic and fishing on my boat 80 miles offshore the day before. I was rushed to the hospital and found to be in CHF/pulmonary edema. Minimally invasive mitral valve repair 1/21/22 with Dr Joseph Lamelas at University of Miami UHealth.
