About Me (In My Own Words)
All symptoms that I've had for years have been put off as something else - asthma, kidney disease, mitral valve prolapse, IBD, stress...and some were related to those, BUT when the shortness of breath increased to the point where I couldn't walk from one end of my house to the other, my feet and legs were swelling so badly that I couldn't wear shoes, I became very lightheaded and felt like I was going to pass out, as well as increased chest pain, my doctor listened. Thank God, he listened. My stenosis was at a moderate to severe point, but because of the symptoms, it was upgraded to severe. And I have IBD and another autoimmune disease, which will complicate recovery by a great deal. I was told that I have a 10-20% mortality rate. But I'm tough...I'm a fighter and have a lot to be here for. God's not finished with me yet, and my Bucket List is way too long....Ready to get this over with so I can begin my NEW life! One without a congenital heart problem!
