About Me (In My Own Words)
I am in my seventies and scheduled for aortic valve replacement surgery in two weeks, July 16.2014, I am trying to prepare myself for post surgery, may go into rehab/nursing place for a week or two since I live alone
I have completed all the tests except for the final pre surgical physicals on July 11th.
I am now getting anxious to have the surgery yet fear waking up with feelings of trauma , all those tubes connected to me, I need to speak to the staff at the hospital since I am alone and no family member or friend will be there to advocate my preferences.
this is a wonderful place to support each other and learn new information
