About Me (In My Own Words)
Hi, I am 41 years old and I am about to have open heart surgery to replace two values. The aortic regurgitation and mitral regurgitation that occurred with my daughter´s birth has been slowly leaking extra blood. We have reached a moment where replacements are necessary. On December 30, I will have a mechanical value replacement on my aortic. Dr. Swanson will attempt to repair by mitral valve but I may need a mitral valve replacement. Yes I am scared. But this is just another season. So, I am going to focus on the strength and courage of the people before me.
