About Me (In My Own Words)
On 5/13/2021 I had to have emergency open heart surgery to repair my mitral valve. My recovery started off good but eventually things started going bad for me. After my cardiologist was not giving me the answers I wanted I switched to a different medical group and cardiologist. It turned out I needed to have open heart surgery again. On 3/23/2022 I had to have my mitral valve replaced. Turns out the leaflets that had not been repaired previously had failed causing severe regurgitation.
