About Me (In My Own Words)
My story is my son's story, he was diagnosed with Aorta stenosis at age 7. It was monitored yearly and was always moderate with little changes. October 2018 he was over due for check up and needed to get his wisdom teeth out so echo was done and it had changed from moderate to severe and surgery was required Dec. 3,2018. Ross-Kono procedure. Very successful
We were on here through out his entire ordeal, which helped beyond words. I guess the link to sign in w/ facebook no longer works . So I am re signing in :). Glad to be back amongst those who truly understand.
Surgery was done by DR William Ryan and Katherine Harrington. Both were so amazing, cant thank them enough. His recovery was mostly un-eventful. Slight complication w/ stomach bleed that caused anemia after we were home for a month.. Only slight discomfort in sternum but very seldom. HR was high afterwards for a couple of weeks but stabled out and he was able to come off of BP meds, aspirin has also been discontinued. He is on no meds currently and has been released to full activities
