About Me (In My Own Words)
About 9 yrs ago I was diagnosed with Moderate Aortic Stenosis & was referred to a local cardiologist to keep up with the progress, etc. This past year I noticed I started having some side effects. I started having some odd side effects while tests still showed moderate; not severe (the last stage). My cardiologist is fantastic/I dearly love him & all the doctors in their clinic. My dr did numerous testing & said as soon as I see any other symptoms to call the office immediately that he had already had the final testing listed. After having the tests, he turned me over to an associate that specialized in TAVR...I also saw the CardioThoracic Surgeon that works along side Dr Bhatia & the rest of the structural heart team. They were so wonderful & explained everything to me & my daughters. My TAVR procedure is set for 6am cst, Aug 20th, 2024. I'm absolutely thrilled!! I would say I was gonna get up & dance a jig after my procedure; but, I can't because they'll be putting the catheter through the groin! I can't wait!!! Well, I'm going for my surgery in the morning 8/20/2024. I have to be there at 6am cst. I was checking my charge for test results on the MyChart app...I had no idea I have Mitral Valve Regurgitation. It's not huge & they said the severity of my aortic valve being so tight, that, after the TAVR procedure, the regurgitation should go away. I sure hope so. God Bless to Everyone on this website!!! Have a blessed day everyday!! I'll post how it goes!! It really does help reading updates! God Bless, Kathy
