About Me (In My Own Words)
I had surgery several years ago but only found your site this year while looking for some information to keep on top of my health. I was diagnosed with Moderate to Severe Mitral Valve Regurgitation, (and just discovered as I searched my KP records for this post that diagnosis included...) Mild Tricuspid Regurgitation. My surgery was an MVR - annuloplasty ring- followed by a tough hospital stay of 7 days. I was in there with some 80 year old brave souls that motivated me! I'm grateful to God for them.
Anyhow, I was the one person in my family so called "least likely to have a heart issue". Glad I had physicians such as Cardiologist Dana McGlothlin and Dr. Langkammer (now retired) my PCP who both fought for me. Although my Ejection Fraction Ratio has kept me out of the heart disease follow up program, I want to stay on top of any heart valve information so I'll be posting questions from time to time.
