About Me (In My Own Words)
I had a heart murmur and prolapse for several years. After hearing the regurgitation, my doctor sent me to a cardiologist. I had echocardiograms and TEE's over a few years and the regurgitation went from mild to severe. I had minimally invasive surgery to repair the valve. I was in the hospital 3 days. I am grateful to the hospital staff, my wonderful surgeon and all the great, encouraging people who cared for me. I experienced nerve pain, fatigue and ocular migraines. I still have these symptoms but each day they are improving. I am so happy that I have this surgery over with and am recovering. I started cardiac rehab last week and know that this will be very helpful in returning to excellent health.
