About Me (In My Own Words)
I elected to have my moderate to severely leaky Aortic valve replaced at 61 years old. I could have waited but was symptomatic - especially after Covid-19. Recovery has gone well, 4th week now, going to cardiac rehab and getting my strength back. This was my first major surgery, released from hospital 4th day after surgery - they say I did extremely well. Still it was no walk in the park, surreal looking back on it now. My hospital care was excellent from the surgeons, RN's & techs. I might even go back to work, who knows...
