About Me (In My Own Words)
I am on the cusp of life transforming new tech.
TAVR was just today ( 8/19/2019) approved by the FDA for low risk aortic stenosis patients.
I have native aortic regurgitation or insufficiency and was told I don’t have enough calcium build up on my leaking valve for the new TAVR procedure to be recommended as the 1st choice procedure.
That means SAVR and all that it entails.
I know it’s only a matter of time before they’ll figure out and approve TAVR for patients in my situation.
It’s possible they cane use this procedure “off label” and I would be part of new studies.Do I risk it it? Valve migration sounds like a potential disaster but so does open heart surgery.
Will I have time to benefit from this swiftly advancing science?....................
Looking for any insight into my plight!
