I was having chest pain at work a few nights, and felt fluttering in my heart, and cough during those flutters, it scared me, so I seen a cardiologist a few weeks ago and did some tests, the results are: There is trace to mild mitral regurgitation
There is trace tricuspid regurgitation
I’m so grateful to have come across this group, just by researching on leaky valve. Dr isn’t concerned and wants to see me back in 3 months. I am going to do research and stay connected to this group, so far reading your stories, is so inspiring. I do have a lot to learn, and I will keep researching and learning. It feels overwhelming right now, because it’s new to me, and it’s scary.

Bob McRae Hi Darlene,
HVS.com is a great place for information and real life patient experiences. Adam the founder also has a great book The patient's guide to Heart Valve surgery. When I was diagnosed 2 + years , I over reacted and thought all the symptoms would soon begin & things would get bad. You have the time to do your research and get multiple opinions from cardiologists and surgeons. I am still totally asymptomatic, but my most recent echo indicates its time for surgery after speaking with 3 cardiologists & 2 surgeons. Later next month I will have my aortic valve replaced or repaired at the Cleveland Clinic. You will do fine with your journey, best wishes and prayers coming your way ! Bob
