Catie B I'm sorry to hear your valve has issues, Diana. Two surgeons I consulted said that second surgical aortic valve replacements, performed by expert surgeons at hospitals that do a high volume of SAVRs, are nearly as safe as first-time surgeries and that the survival rates are excellent. Gratefully, these procedures are becoming safer and safer.
