Diagnosed with a heart murmur 55 years ago which had no been a problem until about 1 1/2 years ago when informed by my cardiologist that it was time for a repair. Although not experiencing any symptoms I decided to consult cardiac surgeons for their opinion. In both cases I was told a repair was needed. I met with Dr. T. Sloane Guy at Weill Cornell Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital in April and scheduled robotic MVR surgery for July 24th. Needless to say I was extremely nervous leading up to my date but am happy to report everything went well. Dr. Guy and his team skillfully completed a complex MVR on both leaflets and a PFO closure successfully I'm happy to say. I was in ICU till that evening then transferred to the step down unit and subsequently released on Wednesday. Am home now and feeling better every day. Dr Guy, his team, and the team at NYPH did an amazing job for which I will ever be grateful. He is an amazingly skilled surgeon and a nice GUY!!! Thank YOU Dr. Guy.
