The cardiology group I follow-up with recommends taking the vaccine. I had Mitral valve repair/ Maze procedure April 13, 2020 received the Pfizer vaccine first dose December 22, and will receive the second dose January 12. I have had no reaction. As a practicing podiatrist this is to me for peace of mind, I see patients at the office, and at the hospital. I have lost colleague's to Covid.

Good to hear Glen, you are taking care of yourself and those around you. Glad that you didn’t have any reaction to the vaccine, that is good news. Like Adam I’m so sorry you lost colleagues to this terrible virus. Prayers go out for their resting in peace. So sad. Be safe and continued good health

Started on my third week of cardiac rehabilitation, forced exercise. The education is parallel to to the Book reversing and preventing heart disease, Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr., MD as well as the China Study , second edition, By Dr. Campbell. I recommend the China study 2nd is a good read for all. Walking 1.5 miles on my own with headphones at night. Still off blood pressure medicine. Resting heart rate in the high 80s will be seeing cardiologist on Friday, discharged from cardiothoracic surgery after second follow-up visit. I insisted on face-to-face so he can listen to my heart, with stethoscope. Everybody in the hospital was too focused on Covid to pickup my murmur.
