Hello to everyone. I have a question…I have BAV and enlarged aorta 4.4-4.5. I went for a surgical consult today and was told that the standard for aneurysm repair is 5.0 but in taking into account my size and weight that surgery is recommended within the next few months. I’ve read that a lot of people have had aneurysm repair but did your surgeons ever recommend it earlier because of your size? Thank you all very much!

Kimberly Eisenhut I just came accross this and would like to thank you Marie for the chart. It really helps to know what my risk is. Still a little frightening to think I have a 7% chance every year, but at least I have some clarity on the issue. Something the Drs do not explain, even if I ask. My little sister passed at 13 years old(I was 18) from a brain stem anuerysm, so it is very real for me.
