I am a 73 year old and I have had both of my Carotid Arteries Surgically repaired. The first one at 49yrs old and they took the Vein from my right arm and grafted it to the Artery. The second one left side I was 64, They put a synthetic graft onto the Artery. I was very lucky each time when I went to the hospital, I was told to check in your surgery starts in two days. Both times wife did not come with me, so when I called home to tell her she had to have her sister drive her to the hospital because she was so scared. At the age of 71 they discovered a blockage the led Artery, which is the widow-maker Artery. They already knew that I had Aortic Stenosis, so come the week of 7August I will have the Aortic Valve Surgery done the surgical team I have met with are going with less invasive surgery and they will use the Edwards Sapien 3 transcatheter Heart Valve. They tell me I will be a new man.
