I posted earlier about my son, but now have more information. Both MRI and echo showed slightly enlarged aorta, but the echo showed a left ventricle asymmetry. He had the Ross Procedure done successfully last summer in July. Can anyone help with what this might mean for him? They are going to repeat the MRI although it was just done a week ago and see what they find. Has anyone else had this come up after aortic valve replacement?

My son had a successful Ross procedure last summer in Austria. He now is showing an asymmetric left ventricle through an echocardiogram. However, the MRI didn't show anything other than a slight enlargement of the aorta. There had been no change in numbers since his last echo from October (it's now May). What does this mean? If the echo is accurate, what do they do about an asymmetric left ventricle? Does it potentially mean another open heart surgery? Why might this be, and what does it mean?
