I had my Atrial Valve repaired by TAVR surgery on November 1st and came home the next day.  I felt great after surgery with no weakness at all.  I had a great surgical team at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston and all the nurses couldn’t have been nicer.  I didn’t need any pain pills, not even Tylenol.  I was fine every day when I came home but I couldn’t drive for two weeks as I had a monitor on me.  I was worried about my surgery as I had had two stents put in about six weeks before and I had an allergic reaction to the dye but they had me take Prednisone and Benadryl prior to my surgery and I can’t eat shellfish, which I love!  I will be seeing an allergist soon and I drink a lot of water as my kidney function became very low after the reaction I had.  I couldn’t be happier with the way everything went during and after surgery!
