Hello,
Adam.. Please forward message to expertise or guide me. ..Thanks
I am 71 year healthcare professional-(CLINPATH-TOX), active and working.
I need advice from Dr Patrick McCarthy, Dr.Marc Gillinov, or EP GURU.
I had Mitral valve and Tricuspid valve repaired Jan 2017.
I did excellent accept last month I developed Aflutter and my heart rate RACING AT 125-180 for two weeks.
After 2 weeks self-converted/ I get one 0 +1 spike a day around 125 may be initial episode was Paroxysmal, but I have unspecified pain (1 to 2 + out of 10 scale) around xyloid process and mostly on left ribs nor sure it’s costochondritis? Or heart related? GERD?
Anyway with normal rhythm and +1 spike a day I got catheter ablation done. I feel fine but unspecified pain still there?
MY Question to Adam and Dr. Patrick and Dr.Gillnov. And EP-GURU
• Was it ok for me to get ablation done with recent aflutter episode and normal rhythm at ablation time?
• Any recommendation for my unspecified pain around xyloid process?.. My cardiac enzymes/thyroid/HSCRP etc. all ok. I hope it will go away?
• My recent Echo and TEE was ok too.
• Should I get cardiac Cath or nuclear pharmacological stress test or CT of chest/abdomen done?
• With my previous valve surgery and recent ablation.. Is it normal to feel something is not right or uncomfortable feeling may be once/twice a day for short time?
• Is it ok to have glass of wine over weekend? Do drink 2 cups/tea/coffee a day.
Thanks so much for your advice, this web site and all expertise provide excellent
Service/advise to community and much appreciated.
Steve Shah.
